After Gabriel Jesus had a major knee injury, Mikel Arteta disclosed that Arsenal is “actively looking” in the transfer market.
After colliding with Bruno Fernandes near the end of the first half of the Gunners’ FA Cup third-round loss, the Brazilian was taken off on a stretcher.
There are already concerns that Jesus may have sustained damage to his knee’s ligaments or cartilage, but additional testing is scheduled for Tuesday to ascertain the extent of the problem.
Arteta, who is already without talisman Bukayo Saka, will probably miss the rest of the season due to this injury.
We’re actively searching the market to bolster the team. That has been the case since day one, the manager of Arsenal stated.

‘It would be naive not to do that. It’s an opportunity to improve the squad. We are looking. We are trying. Let’s see what we can do.’
Arteta also admitted he is ‘worried’ about the significance of the injury
‘We know more now and it is not looking good at all. But we need to review one more specialist. So we will have more information this afternoon,’ the Gunners boss added.

‘I don’t want to confirm anything until we have the final report this afternoon. We are very worried today.’
